What uses data?

Being online uses data which is typically measured in gigabytes (GB). 1 GB is pretty big; with that much data you can send and receive about a million emails.

What can you do with 1 gigabyte (GB)?

There is a lot you can do with 1 GB of data. You are able to browse 500 web pages, use social media for an hour, stream audio and radio for 14 hours, or stream DVD- quality video for 1.5 hours. The amount of data that you will use in your HughesNet plan depends on your online activities. See the table below for guidelines. NOTE: guidelines show approximately how much data is used for each activity on its own. For example, with 10 GB of data, you can stream audio/radio for approximately 5 hours OR stream DVD-quality video for 15 hours OR stream HD-quality video for 5 hours OR browse 5,000 web pages OR browse social media for 30 hours.
